December 1996

Alliston Street Toys, a club for antique and vintage car collectors had a great year for members and the community. The club presented donations of two cheques of $1,100 each to two local organizations, Stevenson Memorial Hospital and the Neutropenia Support Association. Darrell Knowlton presented the cheques on behalf of Alliston Street Toys, to Shirley Cox of the Neutropenia Society and Ed Tackas and Dwight Sharpe of Stevenson Memorial.

The money was raised by the club from 50/50 draws held at their weekly meetings. The amount raised this year was a new high for the club and Knowlton said the organization was really pleased with this year's results.
